A little more Halloween

So I was handing out candy at my parent's house on Halloween when, once again, the doorbell rang.  (Little side note here- my parent's neighborhood is SO popular for trick-or-treating that people drive their kids in, park at the neighborhood entrance and trick-or-treat there.)  Anyway, I was about to give some candy to the little ghost at the door when I looked up and realized that guy with the ghost?  Was my brother!  (And the ghost was my nephew so don't think this is totally bizarre.  Obviously I didn't recognize my nephew since he was under a sheet and all.)  Why did this startle me?  Well, here's what he normally looks like:
