Tearing my hair out
Not really. I don't have to with the way it's falling out these days! This is one of those random postpartum things you don't hear about. I didn't anyway. Fortunately (unfortunately?), I like to research obsessively so I read about this while I was pregnant. It doesn't happen to everyone, so I was hoping it wouldn't happen to me, but I planned on it anyway. Actually, knowing this could happen played a BIG part in cutting my hair when I did. I cannot even imagine losing all this hair with it as long as it used to be. It would have been crazy. Anyway, I'm hoping it will not last much longer because it is quite the annoyance.

i love being pregnant (well, atleast the part about having healthy hair, and it doesn't really shed). after the baby comes, though, i guess it's making up for all the lost time. it's actually really gross...i totally understand
ReplyDeleteMy hair fell out after we started having babies, too. Take a close look at me and know what you have to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain - mine is finally coming back. I've got inch long baby hairs that stick out on my sides now. Oh the things a woman does for those she loves!
ReplyDeleteYou were SO RIGHT to cut your hair. I didn't chop until AFTER it had already fallen out - not helpful when it came to cleaning out the vaccum cleaner brush. But that hair tourniquet thing they mentioned in the article you linked? Yeah, definitely had that happen to Patrick's little fingers more than once, and it's impossible to get out of their sticky, slobbery little grips.
ReplyDeleteI saw Frog and Toad at Barnes and Noble for $5.98 - go get it! While you're there, Arrested Development seasons were 40% off, you could get those too and "happen" to draw our names for Christmas.
I know what you mean. My hair is falling out like crazy and has been for months. It gets thick and pretty in pregnancy...and then this. Caleb has been complaining too because of the shower drains.
