Also, it's heavy. The thing probably weighs 10 lbs. Most likely because the paws are all filled with sand. But the combination of Big + Heavy means Kalena can't carry it around herself. Instead, she just points to it or grabs the tail and hands it to me so I can carry it. It's cute how much she loves it though. She'll hug it or give it kisses and sometimes she'll stop playing and walk over and pet it. We'll just have to be careful to never lose it, because I'm guessing it would be hard to replace.
I can't wait until she starts talking to it! I love that she stops what she's doing to pet it. I also like Mom and Dad's new furniture :)
ReplyDeleteYou'd be surprised what you can find on Ebay. We had to get some replacement monkeys when Allison "hid" hers and we couldn't find it at nighttime. Monkey is her Best Buddy. He goes everywhere and does everything she does. It's adorable!!

Patrick has adopted Kalena's bear as one of his own loveys (he has a few), and he gives it hugs and kisses, "feeds" it some of his snacks while we sit on the couch, and puts it down for a nap while we play. I'm pretty much LOVING this age!!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny! You know how Libby is attached to her dog? Well we can't find another one. Before I attach my kid to another toy I will have five replacements already stored away!
