Danny and the dinosaur

Remember when I posted pictures of the other kids in their dinosaur shirts? Well Daniel fits into his onesie now!

We start the dinosaur obsession early around here. Also, I don't intend to call Daniel Danny, but whenever I dress him in dinosaur stuff it makes me think of the "Danny and the Dinosaur" books.

Toy time

We were in Denver a couple weekends ago, staying with my sister. While we were there Will got attached to one of my nephew's toys. It was a big softish plastic dinosaur and he was in love with it. My sister mentioned that they were only $10 at Toys-R-Us, so we decided a trip to the toy store was in order. Of course, Will fell in love with the $20, twice-the-size version. And sometimes he's too cute to resist, so that's what he got.

Yep, that's Will with a dinosaur that's almost as big as he is. His crib is a crowded place these days.

Adorable dinosaurs

After Daniel was born, my good friend Laura sent me a package with gifts for all my kids. And those gifts were adorable dinosaur shirts! Well, a dino onesie for Daniel.

Here's Will modeling his:

And Kalena in hers:

Don't worry, I cropped it so you can't see how badly her shirt clashed with her BRIGHT pink pants. Do you like her bow-tie? She took it off a big stuffed penguin. Really makes her look snazzy. Three year olds pick some great outfits.

Aren't those shirts cute? (The answer is yes, if that wasn't clear.) No picture of Daniel yet, because his is still too big. As soon as it fits though!

Always with the dinosaurs

While Brian's mom was here, she took the kids to the dinosaur museum. And, since it is a grandmother's prerogative to spoil her grandchildren, she let the kids each pick out a dinosaur toy (or two) from the gift shop. Will? Picked out a ceramic dinosaur. CERAMIC. The kid is two! But his is irresistibly cute, so she said yes.

Have you ever seen a toddler hug a ceramic dinosaur? It's a little weird. Also, we totally hid the dinosaur since he dropped it (and broke pieces off) twice the first day he had it. I would put it up on display in his room, but he really just wants to hold it anytime he sees it. And I just can't let him take a ceramic dinosaur to bed to cuddle with.
