Remember when I posted this the other day? WELL. Apparently I spoke too soon about the shorts, she has now managed to get out of those multiple times. Then the onesies got here. Big fat FAIL on that front. I put her in one backward so the snaps wouldn't be visible to her (thought I was pretty clever there) and put her to bed. When my dad got her out of bed the next morning she WAS still wearing the onesie, but nothing else. She got her pull-up off from underneath the onesie. So, now I have five new, white, toddler sized onesies that are no good to me for anything. Awesome.
SO. After toying with some other (probably not great) options, I remembered reading something about sleepers that kids couldn't get out of. And a little google-ing led me to littlekeepersleeper.com. I have two on order. I really, REALLY hope these work. We've had to quit making her wait for her "sun" to come up, because that inevitably leads to bed stripping and extra laundry. Not only would I like to get that time back, I would like to enter her room without dreading what I'll find. So cross your fingers for me, and I'll let you know how things go.
An aquaintance actually duct taped her son's diaper on at night for this very reason. Just one strip, overlapped in the back. I'm not sure how that would work with a pullup though.
ReplyDeleteI hope it works! Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteKalena Boena, bad lady! I hope it's not for the rest of her life that you dread going in her room because of what you might find, lol. ;)
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side, she's got a great future as an escape artist! Handcuffs, straight jackets, locked safes, you name it, she can wriggle her way out of it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she'll be a dentist or a clay sculptor or something else requiring the use of her hands. Ha ha
